Do you really want to get into a comparison of political family monarchys?

Rainlion, you’re funny. I guess the Kennedys didn’t become wealthy or political until right before JFK?

drsquid…Would Robert Kennedy had a shot at the presidency if he hadn’t been murdered? Ted thought he might have a chance except he kinda committed murder. Shall we count how many Kennedys have been involved in national politics over the past half-century?

To view the Kennedy dynasty as benign and the Bush dynasty as malignant is just blind partisanship.

Rep. Christopher Shays, a Connecticut Republican, called Brown’s account of events “feeble,” “clueless,” “shocking” and “beyond belief.” Said Shays: “I’m happy you left, because that kind of . . . look in the lights like a deer tells me that you weren’t capable to do the job.”

Rep. Kay Granger, a Texas Republican, told Brown: “I don’t know how you can sleep at night. You lost the battle.”

Does it make sense to anyone that Brown was hired back as a PAID consultant for the post-mort on FEMA’s recovery? Could someone please explain this to me in a way that doesn’t involve some tortured rewriting of common sense? If you have to fire someone because they failed on a project, would you hire him back to tell you what went wrong? Do you think you’re going to get an honest and objective assessment? I suspect there isn’t a reasonable rational Republican who would have argued in favor of this before it actually happened. Or am I wrong in suspecting there are any reasonable, rational Republicans left?

Tuco… WTF are you talking about and/or implying regarding Compass’s resignation and Oliver’s presupposed spinning? What’s there to spin? He was questionable years ago… cracked under the pressure of post Katrina, and has wisely decided to try and make a hasty, as quiet as possible retreat.

The only thing I get from doogie is that he applauds perjury if it’s done by a member of the GOP.

I’d call them ‘Republican” but they hate the idea of America and a republic, preferring the idea of a Bush family monarchy. Why buy into their false advertising?

I bet Hinderaker has recently purchased some great new voice recognition software. You see, he cant actually type because he is in the corner of his rubber room with a straightjacket on, flopping around and screaming about the resolve of George W. Bush. He is a tried and true member of Bush’s unshakeable base. Their brain has lost the ability to find any fault whatsoever in anything Bush or his administration or his appointed officials do. Brown couldve started speaking jibberish and thrown his own feces at that hearing and Hinderaker wouldve still given him the standing ovation he gave today in his post at Powerline.
