The Stupidity of John Hinderaker: Brownie, You’re Doing A Heck Of A Job

Now to be an ongoing feature.

John Hinderaker gets down on his knees and grovels for Mike Brown, the unqualified corrupt man formerly at the head of FEMA.

It’s hard to say what a marginally-informed citizen would make of the Katrina hearing, but my own impression was that the only person in the room who had any idea what he was talking about was Michael Brown.

This is the part where I rub my eyes like Jon Stewart and go “WAAAAAH?”

Thankfully, CAP and the DNC have done the heavy lifting.

I bet Hinderaker has recently purchased some great new voice recognition software. You see, he cant actually type because he is in the corner of his rubber room with a straightjacket on, flopping around and screaming about the resolve of George W. Bush. He is a tried and true member of Bush’s unshakeable base. Their brain has lost the ability to find any fault whatsoever in anything Bush or his administration or his appointed officials do. Brown couldve started speaking jibberish and thrown his own feces at that hearing and Hinderaker wouldve still given him the standing ovation he gave today in his post at Powerline.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans police chief has resigned. Inquiring minds want to know how Oliver will spin this.

There are, of course, only three possibilities. It’s all Bush’s fault, or it’s all the Republicans’ fault, or its the fault of both Bush and the Republicans.

I thought Brown was strong and effective too. So when we do start the bi-partisan program to get Nagins, Blanco and the uncontrollably violent, president threatening Landrieux recalled?

    duggers all;

thought Brown was strong and effective

It’s just all so unfair. I admire you resolve to; ‘dance with the one that brung ya’”

And by all means; stick to your principles. We’re all counting on you .

You know, for as much crap as you give The Blog of the Year (2004), they hardly ever mention you. Same with Malkin, who agrees with you about Michael Brown by the way.

The only thing I get from doogie is that he applauds perjury if it’s done by a member of the GOP.

I’d call them ‘Republican” but they hate the idea of America and a republic, preferring the idea of a Bush family monarchy. Why buy into their false advertising?

preferring the idea of a Bush family monarchy

Er…does the family name “Kennedy” strike a bell?

JWG… you’re funny. Do you really want to get into a comparison of political family monarchys? The Bushes have had more fingers in various political and economic pies going back even before Grandpa “Doin’ business w/ Nazis is good business” Prescott…

Tuco… WTF are you talking about and/or implying regarding Compass’s resignation and Oliver’s presupposed spinning? What’s there to spin? He was questionable years ago… cracked under the pressure of post Katrina, and has wisely decided to try and make a hasty, as quiet as possible retreat.

Brown’s testimony to Rogers: Pin the blame on the locals

Michael Brown, former head of FEMA, testified in front of the House Select Committee today. Questions by Harold Rogers (R-KY) were focused on identifying if the evacuation notices for Louisiana were issued late, and who was responsible for issuing these

So how many Kennedys have been President? How many have referred to it as “our” White House as if they were entitled to it, like Barbara Bush did?

The answers? One, and none. You may go home now. Please collect your door prize on the way out, and quit peeing in the potted plants.

Does it make sense to anyone that Brown was hired back as a PAID consultant for the post-mort on FEMA’s recovery? Could someone please explain this to me in a way that doesn’t involve some tortured rewriting of common sense? If you have to fire someone because they failed on a project, would you hire him back to tell you what went wrong? Do you think you’re going to get an honest and objective assessment? I suspect there isn’t a reasonable rational Republican who would have argued in favor of this before it actually happened. Or am I wrong in suspecting there are any reasonable, rational Republicans left?

    From the Washington Post:

Rep. Christopher Shays, a Connecticut Republican, called Brown’s account of events “feeble,” “clueless,” “shocking” and “beyond belief.” Said Shays: “I’m happy you left, because that kind of . . . look in the lights like a deer tells me that you weren’t capable to do the job.”

Rep. Kay Granger, a Texas Republican, told Brown: “I don’t know how you can sleep at night. You lost the battle.”

Do you really want to get into a comparison of political family monarchys?

Rainlion, you’re funny. I guess the Kennedys didn’t become wealthy or political until right before JFK?

drsquid…Would Robert Kennedy had a shot at the presidency if he hadn’t been murdered? Ted thought he might have a chance except he kinda committed murder. Shall we count how many Kennedys have been involved in national politics over the past half-century?

To view the Kennedy dynasty as benign and the Bush dynasty as malignant is just blind partisanship.
