Is it possible that the Republican Culture of Corruption includes actual connections to the mafia?
Fort Lauderdale police said yesterday that they charged three men in the 2001 gangland-style slaying of a Florida businessman who was gunned down in his car months after selling a casino cruise line to a group that included Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
No more country club ‘prisons’ for white collar crime
Sentences (variable) requiring perps to live in section 8 housing while earning minimum wage at a fast food joint should be mandatory for the scurrilous greedheads who skim cash off the top.
The lengths you are willing to stretch to are truly remarkable.
Guilt by association is a pernicious political weapon but how many politicians are less than two degrees of separation from “gangland” anything? DeLay swims in some pretty questionable circles.
Of course there is no need to mention the Sam Giancana/Kennedy family connection, is there?
Frameone … “Guilt by association is a pernicious political weapon”. You could have stopped there and been just fine. How many politicians are two degrees away from “gangland” anything ? I suspect that many of the representatives from the cities of Chicago, Miami, and New York would not like to have that looked into.
As it relates to this topic though … as I read it, three murderers killed a man a few months after he sold a casino cruise line to a group of businessmen, one of which was Abramoff, and somehow that is a reflection on DeLay? Frankly, I fail to understand how it is even a reflection on Abramoff, but maybe I am missing something.
“Tail Gunner” Joe McCarthy must be chuckling in the afterlife.
“Even left wingers are using my tactics!”, he’s saying.
That article was one of the most convoluted attempts to smear someone (DeLay) I’ve ever seen.
I’m waiting for a story like, “Serial killer born in same hospital as DeLay.”
The more I read this, it is not even two degrees of separation. Seems like closer to four degrees removed to me.
