The Fight In Virginia

Tim Kaine
As I’ve previously noted, while it’s not a “gimme”, the gubernatorial race in Virginia is quite winnable for Democrat Tim Kaine. The RNC knows this and Ken Mehlman just sent an email out showing that they’re going to be doing a big push for his opponent Jerry Kilgore

The success of the Kilgore campaign isn’t just important to residents of Virginia. Helping Jerry win in November is important to Republicans across America.

That’s why we’ve organized a “Super Saturday” on September 24th, a day on which Republicans from all around the country will join together and make volunteer phone calls on behalf of Jerry’s campaign.

It’s simple to help. We’re asking you to make just 30 phone calls. Your phone calls to Republican voters in Virginia will remind them of the upcoming election, and the importance of voting for Jerry. If you agree to help, you’ll be sent a short call list, a script and detailed instructions – everything you need to lend your needed support to Jerry (if you own a cellular phone, most services allow for unlimited weekend minutes, so the calls will be free).

It’s time for the DNC to step up to the plate for Tim Kaine. A Democrat can win the governorship in a red state, and with the support of the national party – he will. What say you, Howard Dean?

Yes Howard: PLEASE get involved in this Race!!!

Frankly, that would be the best possible news Kilgore could receive.

  2. PSU94 says:

“A Democrat can win the governorship in a red state…”

Wow, that’s shocking! Somebody tell Mark Warner!!

  3. Teddy Feces says:

Yes I agree. Get involved Hoard Dean. Maybe the right can make fun of your scream since that is really all they have. They really just don’t like Dean because he doesn’t bow to their leader. Tools.

  4. dugger1 says:

But I agree. Please don’t get Dean involved. Kaine is sure to win if Hodean gets involved. Sure hope progressives don’t get Hodean involved. We’d lose if Hodean got involved. Please no Hodean. That Hodean would be terrible for conservatives in Va. Did I mention how bad it would be be for Republicans if Hodean got involved?

yumm I likes me some tar-dugger…
So we get that you think that Howard Dean is a hinderance – cool – whatever – I like howard dean – he is smart – he has passion.
And if the progressive movements’ red headed step children are Howard Dean and Mike Moore – then we will take them. At least they are not James Dobson Pat Robertson – now those two – coo coo and dangerous.

  6. TrueBlueDem says:

So we get that you think that Howard Dean is a hinderance

Exactly now who is making up stuff…

Is this the new talking points… cornering Dean ?

    Interesting…

  7. dugger1 says:

    Zappa,

By all means pick your own leaders. We both agree Hodean is the the optimum leader for progressives. Hope he comes down here to Jawja and helps some of the Democrats here. I’m sure they will probably welcome him with open arms. (ever heard a Ga. cricket?)

BTW the conservative equal to Dean would be Mehlman; to Moore say Coulter. For Dobson/Fallwell, see JJ, Sharpton, Farrakhan. Lets keep it logical.

    Dugger

  8. Teddy Feces says:

Ann Coulter is the Michael Moore of the right? Hahahaha.
How can you make that argument? Ann Coulter is a miserable, bitter, non-logical hate spitting, wanna be elitist, who uses insults to make points that have non factual basis. Before you jump on Michael Moore, why don’t you actually tell me ONE THING about his movie that was wrong? Don’t be general and say he distorted the facts, tell me what facts! Don’t say he hates America,if you think that, thats your opinion, tell me how in any way he can be compared to Agent Annie???

  9. neoconsrloopy says:

I’ll tell you one thing, Teddy, at least Michael Moore knew that Canada didn’t send troops to Vietnam.

  10. Teddy Feces says:

neoconsrloopy, thats why I have you in my corner.

Dugger, gimmie that point back….NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!

  11. Dugger says:

    Hitchens (a leftist) on Moore’s F 9/11:

“To describe this film as dishonest and demagogic would almost be to promote those terms to the level of respectability. To describe this film as a piece of crap would be to run the risk of a discourse that would never again rise above the excremental.”

Moore asserts that Iraq under Saddam had never attacked or killed or even threatened (his words) any American. Yet his secret police tried to kill former Pres Bush (which is why Clintin sent a cruise missile on a friendly visit to his secret police HQ.

    Dugger

  12. neoconsrloopy says:

    Except it isn’t accurate

    What Moore Actually says:
NARRATOR: On March 19, 2003, George W. Bush and the United States military invaded the sovereign nation of Iraq. A nation that had never attacked the United States. A nation that had never threatened to attack the United States. A nation that had never murdered a single American citizen.

All three statements are clearly accurate. Teddy, you give these people too much credit.

  13. Teddy Feces says:

    point for you Dugger.

Hey, thats cool, as long as you agree that the rest of the movie was accurate.

  14. neoconsrloopy says:

    COME BACK- ONE YEAR!

  15. Oliver says:

Yes, having the party throw resources into a race is exactly the same as throwing that “crazy” Howard Dean into the race. You guys, you’re dumb on purpose.

  16. Quaker in a Basement says:

    Hitchens (a leftist) on Moore s F 9/11:

No, no. Park Mr. Hitchens over there alongside Mr. Matthews. To borrow Hitchens’ own words, to describe Hitchens as dishonest and demogogic would be to elevate those terms.

Hitchens makes Teddy Kennedy look like Carrie Nation.

  17. neoconsrloopy says:

    What Moore actually said
NARRATOR: It turns out that the White House approved planes to pick up the bin Ladens and numerous other Saudis. At least six private jets and nearly two dozen commercial plans carried the Saudis and the bin Ladens out of the U.S. after September 13th. In all, 142 Saudis, including 24 members of the bin Laden family, were allowed to leave the country.

Since Clarke worked in White House, even if he was the sole contact in charge of approving the release of the bin Laden family, this statement is 100% true. The movie never said the president authorized it directly.

If people actually believe that Clarke didn’t have tacit approval from the administration for which he worked to do something that could be so politically explosive, they are a fool, but either way, the statement is correct.

Spreading “liberal bias” also known as “truth” since 1995

  18. Dugger says:

    Teddy F

Ina dditon to the Iraq untruth, Moore also untruthful about the Bin Laden family leaving the US. His film discussed the White House and the president authorizing it, but it was clearly Bush hater Richard Clarke – a sub indenture Security Council official – not the Pres. Also there was the non headline he stole. I agree none of the movie is accurate as long as your definiton of accurate is moral honesty.

Mo, Coulter is a brillaint saint compared to the Goebbelsesque Moore.

    Dugger

  19. Semanticleo says:

    Dugger;

Hitchens took a three-year sabbatical to write his big book on Jefferson which ended up at oh, 95 pages including front and back covers. Did we need another book on Jefferson? About as much as Hitchens needs another fifth of single-malt.

  20. Teddy Feces says:

“Mo, Coulter is a brillaint saint compared to the Goebbelsesque Moore”

Why is it everytime someone on the left mentions a Nazi they get shitted on by the right? You guys seem to love to toss refrences around though? Why is that? Is the rights fascination with Nazis some sort of foreshadowing?

Interesting to say the least. If you honestly believe that a single word that come out of Agent Annies mouth is even close to logical or accurate you have about as much credibility as the rest of your party. And FYI, that’s none!

  21. Semanticleo says:

    Dugger;

If you know of another commonly known master of devious, nasty political propaganda, I will gladly change my description.

    Hint; the initials are KR

  22. Dugger says:

    Teddy,

It is because Goebbels is the acknowledged master of devious, nasty political propaganda. His Nazi-ness is inconsequential as far as Moore is concerned. If you know of another commonly known master of devious, nasty political propaganda, I will gladly change my description.

    Dugger

  23. Teddy Feces says:

    How about Karl Rove.

  24. Teddy Feces says:

    Yes.
