It is time for our politicians to be called to account. We are at a crossroads in America, and hard decisions must be made. We can repeal the tax evasion policies put in place for the super rich and take care of our own, or we can hobble along in debt to foreign powers. It’s a choice that needs to be made.
The Hurt America Caucus: Democrats who support tax evasion for millionaires at the detriment of ordinary citizens
The Help America Caucus: Republicans who understand that burdening average Americans in favor of the super rich is wrong
Lets keep tabs on who’s who and what they really stand for.
>> Brave Republicans Raise Possibility of Repealing Bush Tax Cuts
I defer to a paraphrased Jon Stewart in Rolling Stone: If taxes are such a bad thing, why don’t we just eliminate all taxes?
For all of this nonsense about how tax cuts are hurting people, it consistently goes un-noticed and/or intentionally un-reported that the tax receipts continue to be at all time highs.
Additionally, spending, almost across the board, has gone up under this administration.
It also goes un-noticed that real wages have stagnated over the past four years. Spending has decreased across the board when it comes to helping the middle and lower classes. But all conservatives can do is wave their hands and insist that things will get better down the road for the middle and lower classes as long as we pass just one more tax cut for the rich. Just one more spending bill for big corporations. Just one more cut in food stamps. Help is on the way.
“Spending has decreased across the board when it comes to helping the middle and lower classes.” I suppose that education spending would bear this patently false statement out? I suppose tax rates would bear this patently false statement out? Where are all of these alleged cuts?
I noticed Tomy- the small increases are absorbed by higher health care premiums before they even get to workers. But then again, there are those tax cuts we all got- which was about enough to fill my car with gas- once.
