I find it interesting that the fist thing these people need is to be relieved of a government burden.

Filing a “zero tax” tax return for 2005 should be a no – brainer. Claiming documented losses of any kind over the next three years – no brainer.
Eliminating the stupid regulations that will slow down the re -entry of small businessmen into their respective fields – no brainer.

But, watch what happens. And, of course, Alex is also correct.

Oh, great. This is so Clintonian. Love ones dead, city submerged, lives knocked off track… what do these people need? An early tax refund!! See, the Republicans will never argue with this, since it accomplishes nothing but taking another useless page out of their ideological book (TAX ‘RELIEF’, TAX ‘RELIEF’, TAX RELIEF’) To what temporary shelters shall we mail the checks?

These two guys are my House Rep and Senator, respectively. Yeesh.
