Filibuster This

The Republicans have decided that the occasion of the worst natural disaster in America’s history is less important than giving Paris Hilton eternal wealth.
I believe it is high time for my fellow “obstructionist” Democrats (and the remaining Republicans with some semblance of a conscience) to filibuster the hell out of any and all Senate business that is unrelated to our national emergency for the near future.

I have been detecting a change ot tide direction for the far right for a while now. I am, by definition a delusional optimist cross-bred with bitter cynicism.
I do believe that the lunatic fringe of the right as exemplified by the good Dr.(Mengele) Frist is losing ground to the right-of-centers who are squabbling about the relief efforts post Katrina. I sense that those most upset over Bush incompetence are loathe to have support from the Left. It may be the smarter stragegy to step back and observe the implosion It could be that Frist is going to be seen by these same types as opportunistic when he convenes the Senate Tuesday morning spearheading the drive to give more aid to the wealthy, while NOLA founders.
