Theresa Was Right

Four more years of hell

The Army is planning for the possibility of keeping the current number of soldiers in Iraq well over 100,000 for four more years, the Army’s top general said Saturday.

The propaganda is firmly entrenched

A Utah television station is refusing to air an anti-war ad featuring Cindy Sheehan, whose son s death in Iraq prompted a vigil outside President Bush s Texas ranch.

While some say enough is enough.

Wisdom requires that the Bush administration call an end to its misbegotten crusade. While avoiding the appearance of an ignominious dash for the exits, but with all due speed, the United States needs to liquidate its presence in Iraq, placing the onus on Iraqis to decide their fate and creating the space for other regional powers to assist in brokering a political settlement. We’ve done all that we can do.

At first it was “You broke it; you fix it”.
Now “I think it’s broken enough already; maybe you should leave the store” sounds more appropriate.

Um, the saying is “You broke it, you own it.”

And Colin Powell was the first to apply it, most famously, to Iraq.

WHat I like is Mr. Qualls who uprooted a cross for his son on three occasions. THe best part is he said he was willing to sacrifice his entire family for the president, including his 16 year old son.. Gee, Mr. Qualls, how about putting your flabby ass on the line? As the president knows, it is easy to make war as long as you dont personally have to go and fight.

Qualls is the ultimate knucklehead…blinding himself to the reality that his son may have died for nothing more than the president’s political future and that of the GOP.

“War is good business. Invest a son ( or daughter).”

Maybe Qualls’ deep down knows he voted for the guy that sent his kid off to war and he will not admit his mistake. Some parents are beginning to understand that this war took away a child or father or husband or daughter in a conflict based on lies.

The president is scared…he now claims 9-11 and Iraq are connected, again. God…how stupid are these people???- And how stupid are YOU?

I’ve got no beef with Mr Qualls at all. I disagree with the war, but I would be very sensitive if somebody used a memorial to my son’s death for purposes that I oppose. It’s just as bad as Bush telling an anti-war mother that her son “died for freedom”, when the mother clearly doesn’t believe it. I doubt Qualls is dissembling about his real feelings. Instead of the shitbags who trashed Cindy Sheehan we should show respect for Qualls for the loss of his son and for his right to his opinion, even if we disagree with it.

Don’t be an ass. Mr. Qualls did make a sacrifice – his son. Mr. Qualls is well past the age for military service. You think losing a child isn’t making a sacrifice for something you believe in? Mr. Qualls is not a chickenhawk like all the Young Republicans who won’t go fight in a war they support.

    Pionar,

“all the Young Republicans who won t go fight in a war they support. ”

So you conducted a survey and its only young Republicans? Despite the fact that 29 Democratic senators voted FOR WAR. Despite the fact that surveys show most of the military -the guys and girls over there really fighting, right now – are Republican? What? Were they Democrats beforehand and became Republicans once in theater?
