Mark Brunell: Worst QB Ever
Tweet
Lord, he stinks, and us ‘Skins fans know it
“Boo!” “Get him out of there!”
The fans watching the Washington Redskins practice reflect the mood of a city. As the 2005 season approaches, Brunell remains everyone’s favorite scapegoat for last year’s failures.
[snip]
His numbers were abysmal. He was the only regular quarterback in the NFL to complete less than half his passes. His average gain was a league-low 5.04 yards. His 63.9 rating was third-worst in the league. He failed to throw for even 100 yards in five of his nine starts. He was finally yanked in middle of the ninth game after going 1-for-8 for 6 yards against Cincinnati.
This after signing a seven-year, $43 million contract.

Worst QB ever? What about Heath Schuler?
–|PW|–
Worst quarterback ever? That is probably a stretch … how about either of the Huard’s? Schuler is a good example? Marinovich? Ryan Leaf? Brunell might have had A bad season, but nowhere near the worst ever, not even in the same area code.
I think he’s worse than Shuler because Shuler was a rookie whereas the kind of play Brunell has done is not what you would expect from a veteran player.
If you mean worst whiel ont he skins, ok. But before the injuries while he was a Jag he was very good
The kind of play he has exhibited since going to the Skins is not altogether different than the kind of play one would expect from a QB that is well past his prime, and riddled with injuries. Now, if your argument is that he is not worth the money he is being paid, I would agree. However, the owners chose to bring him in for that price, and that is their decision that they will have to deal with. But the worst quarterback ever? Not. Even. Close.
Has Oliver ever played football at the NFL level?
Then he is not qualified to render an opinion on Mark Brunnell.
you all suck
Mark Brunell, standing at 6 feet 1 inch all 217 pounds of him would whoop your ass.
He lies 25th on the all time leader in passing yards. His pro bowl appearence in 1997 was well appreciated in a MVP award. Not only a NFL legend, but a trustworthy family citizen that got him recognized as the father of the year in 2007. Even with 32 knee replacements, Sir Mark Brunell is still able to command his troops leading them to 2 afc championships.
Your sincerely.
