According to Alternet the jist of the Big Hot Dog’s speech was that “progressives” needed to do the following “to win this country back”
1) Be tough
2) Stop whining
3) Speak from the heart
4) Talk to the so-called red America
He could be right, but liberals disguising themselves as ‘progressives’ is rather deceptive, and hardly “speaking from the heart”.
The left has been whining since 2000, with no end in sight.
Dean’s weekly gaffes provide sufficient evidence that “Progressives” (i.e., liberal Democrats) will probably never learn to talk to Red America.
Not anytime soon, anyway.
But you did tell them, Bill. You tried.
Hmm, those four points do seem to be what Dean has been saying all along.
Be tough. Don’t let the Republicans define the scope of argument. Don’t let them make this about Joe Wilson lying when it’s about revealing the name of a CIA agent.
Stop Whining. Instead of sitting around moping about how the Republicans cheat, get out there and do something about it. Stop playing the victim card and just get the platform out there.
Speak from the heart. Can anyone accuse Dean of not doing that?
Talk to the so-called red America. Well, duh. Dean’s always said this. He’s pro-gun, says we should respect the pro-life democrats (he says that, unlike pro-life republicans, they care about the child’s well-being before AND after birth), and that it’s not heresy to settle for civil unions for homosexuals. He also says we need an honest discussion in america about the issues.
Yet, you scream that Dean will never learn to talk to Red America. Are you still offended by that white Christian remark? It’s only because it’s the truth. Prove to me that the Republicans aren’t a majority White Christians, and I’ll say Dean was wrong.
Republicans talk about hating political correctness, yet when Dean makes a comment that points out the truth, they complain.
Democrats ARE more in touch with Americans than the leaders of the Republican party.
