I didn’t make a single friend.

Those Democrats were just too shrill. Why can’t everyone be as thoughful and reasonable as Glenn Reynolds?

Unfortunately for Santorum and Frank, the sex abuse scandal afflicting the Catholic Church isn’t confined to MA. In fact, it’s a scandal that spans the entire US and most of Europe, as well. Virtually every diocese in the US has been rocked by the scandal.

When you address the issue, I will address the issue. I thought I already told you I will not be sucked into a flamefest with you, but, if I didn’t, I’m telling you now.

But when Santorum says liberal sex attitudes contributed to increases in Priests’ sexual misconduct, suddenly the “creation of an atmosphere” theme isn’t so nifty. In fact, Santorum is a “nut”, a “dickhead”, and, of course, a “jerk” for even suggesting it.

As far as your “barring fraud” comment, I live in Philly. Believe me, if you want a Democrat to win, you better hope they don’t “bar fraud”.

Personally I think the general collapse of the GOP bodes well for PA 06. Couple this with Santorum’s general dickheadedness — however well that might play on Fox and to the WH — and I think, barring fraud, Santorum is done.

A 2003 investigation by Attorney General Thomas Reilly found that at least 1,000 children were abused by more than 235 priests and church workers between 1940 and 2000. And the archdiocese has paid out more than $120 million to settle abuse claims since 1950.

Reilly, a Democratic candidate for governor, also criticized Santorum on Wednesday. “For him to equate liberalism with child abuse is disgraceful,” he said. “It’s embarrassing for him and embarrassing to his party and his party should disown him.”

You guys are getting WAAAAAAYYY ahead of yourselves if you think this seat if a gimme for Democrats.

I mean, I’m personally not gonna vote for the guy, but considering that he won in 2000 despite the fact that Gore won PA says something for him.

Plus, if you’re looking at all those polls that show Casey beating him, consider that about six months before the Democratic Guv primary in 2002, Casey was leading Rendell by about 12 points. The fact that Casey is running for the Senate, rather than re-election as Governor, obviously shows you how that turned out.

It takes a lot more than just being pro-life to justify saying that Democrats are “joining” Rick Santorum, dude.
