Sen Kennedy on Rick “Jerkass” Santorum’s Slander Of Boston

The senior Senator from Massachusetts:

Rick Santorum owes an immediate apology to the tragic, long-suffering victims of sexual abuse and their families in Boston, in Massachusetts, in Pennsylvania and around this country. His outrageous and offensive comments which he had the indecency to repeat yesterday blamed the people of Boston for the depraved behavior of sick individuals who stole the innocence of children in the most horrible way imaginable.

Senator Santorum has shown a deep and callous insensitivity to the victims and their suffering in an apparent attempt to score political points with some of the most extreme members of the fringe right wing of his Party. Boston bashing might be in vogue with some Republicans, but Rick Santorum’s statements are beyond the pale.

Rick Santorum has no effing shame. I hope we kick his ass.

A dispicable man. I mean this is lower than using a dying women for political purposes. Children? I don’t think there is a subject lower than child abuse, and this prick wants to exploit thier hurt. I don’t think Dante expounded on a circle in Hell for molestors or those who exploit the molested.

Oh, please, are you seriously using Senator Ted Kennedy as a moral barometer. On a recent vacation, my wife and I walked Teddy’s deposed Chappaquidick route. The only advice I have for you is, if you like Kennedy, never retrace those steps.
Only in Mass and then only with the name Kennedy.

And where are you going this year? To the Georgetown Gap to shop for blue dresses?

  4. TomY says:

Then it’s off to Dallas for a celebration of its many famous plazas!

Pointing to bad behavior rather than addressing bad behavior. I think the Rights tough-guy Bill O’Reilly uses that bit when it suits him. Now if the right wing only really believed and practiced what they preached. Hmmm…..

  6. Hedley says:

Simply holding elected office doesn’t make them “appropriate” speakers.

    I can’t help it.

    Ted Kennedy really said this?

I guess swimming away while your victim is strapped in your car that is now at the bottom of the water isn’t a “deep and callous insensitivity to the victims and their suffering”?

You guys kill me. Barney Frank and now Ted Kennedy. Santorum deserves to catch shit for his comments, but come on, can’t you find soneone who is clean to call him out?

  8. Quaker in a Basement says:

“Barney Frank and now Ted Kennedy.”

Uh, yeah. They’re the elected representatives of the people of Massachusetts. Their past problems notwithstanding, they’re the appropriate speakers on the matter.

  9. Quaker in a Basement says:

    Who else?

  10. Hedley says:

Someone who himself has not “shown a deep and callous insensitivity to the victims and their suffering for starters.

  11. Quaker in a Basement says:

I can see how you can twist that statement to fit Sen. Kennedy. But how does it apply to Rep. Frank?

  12. Dugger says:

    Hey Quaker,

It was a long walk. We thought we could rent a bike on Sunday and couldn’t. And you would have to be dead drunk or have a single digit IQ not to be able to differentiate betwen the dirt road to Dyke Bridge and the smooth paved road 180 degrees the other way to the Chappie ferry.

BTW, thanks for the tip on the Gap in Georgetown. My understanding is that they sell souvenir dresses pre-adorned with the requisite stain (fake – I think, I hope).

Personally, I’m planning a tour of intersections in Midlands TX for my next family vacation.

You won’t like it – all flat and smells like cow dung. (btw, I understand)
