I just don’t believe that theory. As I said, FDR had no active military service. Lincoln had minimal sevice.

I learned a lot of good stuff in the military, but there were no classes on how to run a country.

We don’t need a military man, or woman in the White House (but, if we had to have one, I want this one)

Military generals don’t have foreign affair experience? Thats more than I can say about oh… anyone in the Bush White House. See both Generals that I sited have military/combat experience and Kerry has military experience. I grew up in a military community in Germany, and I have seen liberals and conservatives, but I have never met a person who thinks that having buercrats with no military experience sending troops to other nations. Yet the process continues and you have to wonder that military mishaps continue to happen (Bush I and Bush II) but no demand for actual military leaders.

I am telling you now that most military Generals are not aghast to Clark. It would be nice for a change that military policy be dictated by someone who has actual military experience(John Kerry)

John Kerry’s 4 months on a patrol boat hardly counts as military experience. If that were the case, I could be President. I spent more time in Viet Nam than he did, and more time in the Army than he did in the Navy (he got an early out, remember?).

Besides, I was referring to foreign policy, not military strategy. FDR’s only military experience was as Secretary of the Navy.

Quaker: Wromg again. You know as well as I do that the MSM wants Senator Clinton to be President in 2008. WW: Whoever runs for office is unlikely to have experience in both doreign and domestic policy. Whatever your views are on the GWOT, it is the "hot button" issue, and one with which very few governors are familiar. Give Condi a running mate like Marvin Olasky. Who could Sen Clinton join with to match that combination?

But everyone else in his cabinet has a vast amount of experience and she does not. Again I point out that her experience is very singular when she is only dealing with foreign affairs. At least with military men, you can point out that they have at one point controlled communities and thier governing. The republicans best hope is to get a governor, because they always have a better chance of winning. Condi is so far down on the list. Wesley Clark is more credentialed and he didn’t even win the Dem. ticket.

Who ran the National Security Agency, an Agency as big as some American states (maybe Arkansas?) and some foreign countries?

Who’s running the State Department, and about to break about the record for first – year miles travelled?

If you think I'm a Zeppelin fan (I am), then I guess you can't be all that bad. And I don't drink Kool - Aid. I was a Conservative waaay before Coservatism was cool [I was 18 at the time] I'm a little touchy about that weblog, because it's a labor of love, and also, there are a few other people here with weblogs, and even the hardest of conservatives don't knock their left wing blog attempts. To me, it's just another case of the Left going beyond boundaries, because they "have truth on their side."
