		<description>I am in absolute agreement with you.  As a video compressionist in my spare time, I always wondered why these guys never managed to put up some high quality feeds.

I even subscribed to Real&#039;s RealPass just to see what CNN&#039;s &quot;premiere&quot; content looked like.  For $15 a month, you can see 320x240 video compressed with an outdated codec (RealVideo 8) at 15 frames/second.  Not only that, but their highest bandwidth level is a 300kilobit stream.  Not impressive at all.  I promptly cancelled.

Fox is slightly ahead of the game right now--with a very well designed (free) playback page and RealVideo 9 for the majority of their content.

CNN just recently changed from their premiere/RV content to free Windows Media content.  Naturally, it is quite broken in Firefox, which sucks.  But then again, so does Windows Media Video.
