We want our boys home and we want full justice served upon those that have used America and its military power for greed and ignorant revenge

Some of us want Iraq to remain free, some of us want evidence that the war in Iraq was motivated by greed, and evidence that it was motivated by ignorant revenge -- I haven't seen it. DU and Moveon.org postings don't count.

Vincent, the drip drip drip of American lifeblood for phony lies and distorted intelligence is squarely on the Republican shoulders. They have had their chances to call out the president and his lackeys for the liars and thieves that they are, yet they continue to bow down to them. Pointing out that American's are dying for a sitting President's lie (at the best, a gross lazy mistake) isn't politicizing it. We want our boys home and we want full justice served upon those that have used America and its military power for greed and ignorant revenge.

9/11 has no one to blame but those that perpetrated it. We can find those who were weak on the job, and point out that things may have changed (Ms. Rice, calling Ms. Rice), but that deed is done and over. By claiming that the firefighters and policement rushing to help those in need would be against flag burning? Well thats just low, cheap and sleezy, no matter which party would attempt it.

But of course, stand there apologizing for those that use 9/11 to further their political and capitalistic goals as long as you want. You're little hoax is transparent and pathetic, to say the least. The only people you are fooling are yourselves.

Three items:

1) None of the leading Democrats who criticized Mr. Rove yesterday called for Mr. Durbin to apologize for his own remarks, with some even specifically refusing to comment when asked.

2) Of the six Democrats who signed a letter calling for an apology, five of them voted for the war in Afghanistan, and four voted to authorize war in Iraq. Mr. Corzine voted against the war in Iraq, and Mr. Lautenberg was not in the Senate at the time of either vote.

3) You, Oliver, put two statements in the same post as if one was linked to the other, when the only connection was in your point of view.

Politicization, anyone?

How is politicizing 9/11 any different than using the deaths of soliders in Iraq to score political points, as you and scores of other Democrats do on a nearly daily basis?

Jay C,

The outrage isn't 'faux'. This is real.

You may think that being a liberal is a joke. You may have serious disagreements with us. That's fine.

What's not fine is to fail to acknowledge that liberals have contributed mightily and strenuously to the defense of this nation, which they love every bit as much as conservatives.

FDR was a liberal. He's the guy who put together the New Deal that lifted this nation out of the Great Depression which probably resulted from, or at least have been worsened by, the policies of conservative Herbert Hoover. This same FDR lead us to the brink of victory in WWII, and his successor Harry Truman finished the deal and rebuilt Europe. Liberals.

JFK was a liberal. He stood eyeball to eyeball with Soviet Russia during the Cuban missile crisis. Instead of using bravado, the Kennedys used their brains and Khrushchev blinked. JFK narrowly averted a nuclear confrontation, through strength. Liberal.

In fact, the list of liberals who have served valiantly in the armed forces is long and distinguished... including John Kerry, and George McGovern, John Conyers, Pete Stark, Jim McDermott. Mike Thompson has a Purple Heart. Charlie Rangel has a Bronze Star. Tom Daschle. Daniel Inouye and Max Cleland who left limbs behind.

Compare their service with the lack of service of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Tom DeLay, Newt Gingrich, Dennis Hastert, Trent Lott and, yes, Karl Rove... and you'll understand why this outrage isn't feigned. Add to that list other bloviators on the right who spout off about "treasonous liberals" like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly and you might have a sense of why liberals in this nation are fed up with this cynical, manipulative and hypocritical crap.

Hate liberals, take it up with another veteran: George Washington, who wrote:

"As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality."

We've been politicizing 9/11? Excuse me, who are those people in Washington that said that Saddam was in bed with Osama to justify their invasion of Iraq? Nah..that's not political. Who spirited 50+ Saudi nationals out of the US in the days following 9/11 to protect the private interests of thier families and major campaign donors? Is that political yet?

The way I figure it, the biggest mass-murderer of the 21st century thus far is George W. Bush. An attack on him or this regime isn't political. It's good resisiting the consuming influence of pure evil.

The real Axis of Evil:
1.) George
2.) Dick
3.) Donald

Spare me Oliver. You and your liberal cohorts have been blatantly politicizing 9/11 almost since the day it happened.

Your faux outrage is pretty lame.
