neo,

If I've hurt your feelings in any way or offended you with my clever little ditty, please, please understand - tough noogies. Don't you wish your military-hating buddy Durbin had handled it that way?

BTW, the first part of the good pastor's remarks talked about commies. Considering they have murdered roughly ten times as many as the Nazis, its no wonder the quote has been b*stardized so many times.

"First they got Dan Rather and I said nothing. Then they got Dick Durbin and I said nothing. Then they got Hodean and I said nothing. Then they came for me and it was, like, good job dudes!"

How dare you mock Pastor Niemoller and his poignant words about the Holocaust. By using his words to satirize your politics you are trivializing the Holocaust, and making Lady Liberty (and Baby Jesus) cry.

<i>"Then they came for me and it was, like, good job dudes!"</i>

It's pretty obvious you don't actually care about what is being said, but rather how it can be framed so "your side" can be perceived as having "won!"

Whether or not anything is truly accomplished, matters not and honesty, to you I guess, is overrated.

Kermudge,

"honesty, to you I guess, is overrated.'

Absolutely. The crass partisan politics and the almighty buck come first, unless Herr OberDirektor Rove orders otherwise.

I do not really care if you consider it to be a talking point, since it is true. I long for the days when there was principled opposition to issues, and not simply blind loyalty to one party, and the projection of evil intentions onto the other. Both sides are guilty of this.

Living in the heart of redstate country, many of my friends, neighbors, and family that traditionally vote Democrat as turned off by the rhetoric of the Durbin and Dean contingent. They will certainly not vote Republican, but they may not vote Democrat, or just not vote, given the current climate.

Yeah baby. You go Hodean!

'But one scholar involved in the study quickly backed away from that notion.

"Where the partisan bias came from, where it went, we really have no basis for making any assertion about that and I don't believe the report makes any statements about that," said Cornell University professor of government Walter Mebane Jr.

Dean was forced to come back later and amend his statement.'

I mean whats up with that!? That amending cr*p! Looks like the vast right wing media machine has now crushed poor Hodean under its massive sold-to-Israel Caterpillar treads. He's probably pancaked right there next to the poor Durbmeister.

First they got Dan Rather and I said nothing. Then they got Dick Durbin and I said nothing. Then they got Hodean and I said nothing. Then they came for me and it was, like, good job dudes!

hodean is the greatest DNC chairman that the Republicans could have ever wished for. On one hand, he wants to reach out to the Redstaters, and presumably, he wishes to do so by insulting them at every turn. That is clearly one of the most ingenious electoral strategies conceivable.
