		<description>Hmmm, can you explain to me why what Earle did was bad?  I think we&#039;re only presented part of the story there.

I wouldn&#039;t judge Earle to quickly, I think this smells of a far grander scheme to really work the system to the advantage of progressives.  He made the companies pay far more than they would have if they had gone to court and he pathed the money to progressive institutions.  Its bordering on unethical, but it does seem to be more of a result driven attitude than just having the fines go to state coffers.
