Governor Dean understands that wimping out and making apologies is playing right into the right and the media’s playbook. Bush is limping along, and now’s as good a time as any for an opposition with backbone. Some early quotes:

“We are going to be much tougher and in-your-face with the Republicans when they say things that aren’t true”

“I think it’s great that Dick Cheney went after me. At least they know there’s a Democratic party that’s not going to put up with this stuff anymore.”

“As the head of the Democratic Party, I will not be lectured about morals by Tom DeLay and Rush Limbaugh”

Sounds like the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party to me.

    They would not attack Howard if they thought he was weak – including dugger – they attack him for the exact reason we need him: He speaks the truth.

    I didn’t attack yeargghhMan. I encouraged him. I mean he’s speaking to the power,man. You, I mean we progressives need Howie to keep up the verbal assault. Between him and the Durbmeister, the American people will be eating out of our progressive hands in 2008. So far all we have really written off are our military, whites and Christians. We should get a little over 50% of the rest.
